Selecting multiple libraries
PowerPhotos supports selecting multiple libraries at once from the library list, to allow you to easily perform certain operations on a whole batch of libraries at once, rather than having to perform the same action over and over again on individual libraries. To make a multiple selection in the library list, you can hold down either the command key or the shift key, and click on another library in the list to add to your current selection. Using the command key will just add the one library you click on to your selection, whereas the shift key will select all the libraries between the one you currently have selected and the library you just clicked. You can also command-click on an already selected library to remove it from the selection.
Once you have multiple libraries selected, you can drag them all at once if you want to rearrange your library list, e.g. adding a whole bunch of libraries to a library group at once.
You’ll also see a group of buttons in the middle of the window that let you do the following:
Search libraries This will let you perform a search of all the selected libraries. Visit the chapter on searching for more details.
Find Duplicates This will set up a duplicate search to let you find duplicates among the selected libraries.
Merge Libraries This starts the setup for a merge that lets you combine the contents of all the selected libraries into one library.
Remove Libraries This lets you remove all the selected libraries from the library list at once.
