PowerPhotos Help
Viewing full size photos
In both grid view and list view, PowerPhotos provides a few different options for seeing the full size version of one of your photos.
If you double click a photo, or select one or more photos then hit the space bar, that will expand the photo to fill the window so you can view it in more detail. When viewing an individual photo, you can use the following gestures and keyboard commands:
- Viewing the next/previous photo: Pressing the left or right arrow keys on the keyboard will navigate to the previous or next photo in the selected album, respectively. You can also swipe with two fingers on a trackpad left or right to navigate between photos.
- Zooming in/out: You can use a two finger pinch on your trackpad to zoom in on a photo to view it in greater detail, as well as using the zoom slider control in the window’s toolbar.
- Panning: Once you’ve zoomed in, you can drag two fingers on your trackpad to pan around the photo and view different parts of it.
- Playing a video: If you’re viewing a video, a set of controls will be shown that let you play, pause, and skip to different parts of the video. Pressing option-space will also let you play/pause the video.
- Dismissing the photo: When you’re done viewing the photo, you can press the space bar, double click, or do a two finger swipe down to dismiss the photo and return to the photo browser.
If you want to do something with a particular photo in Photos itself, control-click on the photo, and choose “Reveal in Photos”. That will open up that library in Photos and select the image in Photos’ main window, so you can then do whatever you want with it.
